Coco

The former Roscoffs restaurant has been transformed into this elegant, yet unstuffy eaterie attracting the city's stylish set and tourists in need of top nosh. The small bar area - with eclectic decor and cool night-time vibe - opens up onto a larger dining space. Eye-catchingly contemporary art lines the walls (and can be bought), and a feature wall reflects the opulence with its leaf-embossed burnished gold wallpaper. Organic and locally sourced produce is served with equally stylish aplomb - and the seasonal selection ensures an ever-changing menu.

Great first course, very poor main and very average dessert. Booked three weeks in advance and specifically asked if they could accomodate someone on a gluten free diet and was told that they could. However on the night that turned out not to be the case and was told that they were simply too busy to accomodate my needs. I haven't heard this in any restaurant for many years now. It did however leave me in doubt as to how important I was to them as a customer. Needless to say they weren't too busy to take my money. This restaurant is in the same building as the old Roscoffs Brasserie. Coco charges similair higher end prices, but does not have the standards of its predecessor in either food or service.

First visit to Belfast- found this place by accident. We loved it. My sole was perfectly cooked, and given the standard of the food ( lunch menu) we thought it was good value. If we come to this lovely city, we will certainly eat here again.

Eleven friends and myself had a meal in coco last night, the food was very good we all agreed the standard was reflected in the price as the bill worked out approx £60 per head.( wine and Irish coffees to boot.)I had 2 courses try the Fisso Misto it was devine and the lamb rump was also well worth trying.Overall I think this restaurant will do well but may struggle because of the price of the experience.3/5

Holly.. I had hoped to read a constructive and intelligent first review of this restaurant here. sadly that seems a little beyond you. Everyone is entitled to their own ethics, but save it for when its appropriate please.

Foie Gras? Catch yourself on. Personally I wouldn't eat anywhere that condoned this "delicacy".
