Opened in 1968 and divided into six distinct parts representing the main ethnographic areas in what was at the time the so-called province of Katowice, this lovely park set in over 20 hectares of idyllic countryside offers a meandering trail scattered with traditional wooden buildings from thatched cottages to grain stores to ceramic workshops to a marvellous 18th-century wooden church from the nearby village of Nieboczowy. Many of the buildings are open to explore and include exhibitions, almost all of them sadly in Polish only, but with some great photographs and drawings explaining their original purposes.
Admission 6/4zł. Sat Free.
