This is as cool as Katowice gets, so if you don’t like it you may as well take the rest of those sleeping pills. Groovy little Archibar is set inside the Architects Union with an interior that makes use of green lighting, lots of plastic and black and white photos. In the background it’s all ambient grooves, arty projections and a load of Meccanno-style contraptions supporting the lights. It looks good and so do the patrons, many of whom appear to be businessmen trying to impress babes half their age.

  The hot chocolate is good. The toilets could be a bit cleaner for such a stylish joint - were I the sniffing kind I wouldn't want to snort anything in there.

  Probably Katowice's most stylish bar and a bit of a cultural venue and gallery at the same. Worth stopping in even if you're not looking for drink. Which can't be said about many places in Kato.
