A magnificent location inside the main Spodek complex, this beautiful albeit tatty reinforced concrete masterpiece features scores of pine-themed and extremely basic rooms spiralling off a series of bendy corridors. The bathrooms have been renovated, but beyond that you won't find anything manufactured after about 1980 here, including many of the televisions that pump out little more than local Polish shows. The in-house restaurant is rather nice, and the location is wacky for sure. Probably the best budget accommodation in Katowice.
