This former German DAG explosives factory has been transformed from its days as an armaments supplier for the Third Reich into an expansive city-run museum that just opened after our last visit. Exhibits will span seven different buildings on the factory grounds and will include multimedia and interactive displays to tell the story of a business that used thousands of citizens in forced labor to generate dangerous nitroglycerin. The museum is open Wednesday-Friday for groups of 10 or more people, and Saturday-Sunday for individuals. Individuals must call three days in advance and give your ID to book one of the 5 available tour times each day. English speaking guides are only available for large groups, and children under 6 cannot see the exhibit. To find the entrance go to the gate at ul. Glinki 155 (next to the Polon Alfa factory) via the 53 or 68 buses and from there a bus takes you for the tour, which lasts about 2 hours.
Admission 15/12zł.
