Ferries & Water Trams

Water trams (basically ferries) sail during the summer season and make for a pleasant day trip. Trams leave from in front of the Hilton hotel in Gdansk (tickets from adjacent Targ Rybny 6), from the pier in Sopot (tickets from the ticket offices at the end of the pier and in the gardens leading to the pier) and from Gdynia from next to the Blyskawica battleship (tickets from the office in the adjacent building). Be warned that tickets, especially for the first sailing of the day, are very popular and you'll need to be there at least half an hour before the tram sails most days to start queuing. Advance sales have not been possible in previous years.
