State Baltic Opera [Opera Bałtycka]

State Baltic Opera
The Baltic Opera continues the tradition of opera in Gdańsk which can be traced back to 1646 when artists from the Royal Opera in Warsaw performed Le nozze d’Amore e di Psiche by Scacchi here. The opening night of the Baltic Opera was in 1950 when Eugenius Oniegin was performed. The key events over the years were the first staging in 2000 of a Wagner opera in Gdańsk after World War II. In 2003 the entire complex was re-built and modernised and the first staging of a Richard Strauss opera after WWII in September 2005 was held.

Tickets 20-70zł.

Have been to this venue twice now and will be going to the Eurazja Ballet soon! It is a very easy way to enjoy ballet, not too long and quite a pleasant experience even if you are not too interested in ballet! Recommend for an evening!
