Hotels
Gdańsk has a wide range of accommodation to suit every pocket. Whether you stay in the Radisson or a dustbin, your hotel will list their prices in either US$, euros or złoty. Your bill will be calculated using the exchange rate of the day. We classify the hotels listed according to price.

Here are some recommendations depending on what you are looking for:

Local

For some real local flavour then book into Kamienica Gotyk, a super little hotel situated inside what’s allegedly the oldest house in town. And don’t bother asking for an alarm call, the bells of St Mary’s are more than capable of doing that job. Alternatively, find out what it’s like to live like a local by renting an apartment: Gdańsk Apartments suit that end perfectly with some smashing locations in the old town. Or awake to the sound of cellos playing across the courtyard by staying at the Dom Muzyka hotel located next to the city's Music Academy

Cheap
There has been an explosion in hostel places in recent times so choose carefully. For an A1 location check Universus which is a modern hostel set in an ancient building. For something a little more upmarket then try the Abak, a great little pension a short cab ride from the centre.

Lads

Go for one of the giants – Scandic, Mercure Heveliusz and Novotel Centrum all have plenty of rooms to cater for touring groups of beer monsters. Good as they are, nothing beats staying above a microbrewery; do so by reserving a room at the Gdansk

Couples

The lavish Podewils with its antique fittings and riverside views is ideal for naughty weekends, while Dwór Oliwski with its pinkish look, and landscaped gardens never fails to impress.

Splurge

The Radisson is superb, and they’re head and head with the waterside Hilton – flip a coin if you can’t decide.
