Happy Seven deLuxe is run by the same folks who’ve been hosting backpackers at the Happy Seven Hostel across the street, and sure, you have to check in to deLuxe at the hostel reception desk, but that’s all they have in common. While Happy Seven has twentysomethings playing video games in the lounge and heaps of smelly shoes at its entrance, deLuxe features a sleek, clean lounge, modern Ikea-heavy kitchen and eight brightly colored, classy rooms available. Those with ensuite bathroom will enjoy showers with multiple sprayers and – we kid you not – built-in shower radios. DeLuxe is the next natural step in accommodations for hostel-goers who feel they’ve outgrown the communal nature of dorm living. A welcome addition to the city’s hostel scene (if we can even call it a hostel).
