Without doubt one of the better restaurants in the town. This place is a sensory delight from the moment you enter, whether it be the site of a podgy cat ambling on the veranda, or the wood fire being stoked to see off Jack Frost. Light wood furnishings come topped with check blue tablecloths and model fishing boats, while the food is every bit as good as the interiors deserve; find fishy offerings galore, all nicely concluded with a nip of traditional Danzig liquor.

Fitted with heavy woods, nautical trinkets and paintings of naval engagements Tawerna is the spitting image of Nelson’s cabin.
