The presence of two chandeliers, tablecloths and some plush seating might be a little intimidating but keep going – it’s worth it. The menu is a work of a creative mind and the results score top marks from both the eyes and the stomach. The concept here has been to take traditional dishes and to give them a modern touch so that the barszcz comes with wild mushroom ravioli, cream of beetroots and pectin froth with marjoram while the traditional slow roasted duck comes with beetroot mousse and horseradish foam. Of particular interest to visitors is the Gdansk Tasting Menu including the aforementioned duck and a dessert which presents the local Goldwasser liqueur in molecular jelly form. An interesting way to enjoy the local cuisine.
