This is certainly Poland's premier summer festival attracting music lovers from all over Europe. Last year there were 70,000 fans, most staying on 16,500 camping spaces, enjoying top world stars like The Prodigy, Faith No More, Pendulum, Gossip or The Kooks on 7 stages. It really is up there with the best festivals the continent has to offer and a credit to its organisers and supporters. First staged in Warsaw in 2003, it has grown in stature to the extent that in 2009 it was voted 'Best foreign festival' by The Sunday Times. For the second year running it all runs over 4 days and we can expect over 100 artists on 7 stages, at least 60 000 people every day, new festival spaces, a bigger catering zone and festival town. The programme goes like this
Day 1: Pearl Jam, Tinariwen, Tricky, Ben Harper, Relentless7, Yeasayer, Groove Armada
Day 2: Mando Diao , Massive Attack, Klaxons, Grace Jones and our favourites Pavement.
Day 3: Kasabian, Gorillaz Sound System, Skunk Anansie, Regina Spektor
Day 4: Archive, The Hives, Nas & Damian Marley.
Due to the high regard in which it is held, tickets go quickly before the acts have been fully confirmed. If you're planning to camp and are reading this in June, you are probably too late.
