Frania Cafe

Kraków's first laundromat cafe, Frania has moved to new digs on Stradomska and improved its offer at the same time. Open early, they now have a full kitchen which cooks up a range of breakfasts, including a Full English option (served 07:30 - 17:00), plus sandwiches, salads, pierogi and more. Colourful retro furnishings, a laid-back atmosphere, free wifi and a full bar for coffee and less innocent libations conspire to make brightening your whites in one of the seven machines discreetly tucked in the back room a lot less of a chore than you'd expect. In fact don't be surprised to find yourself spending time here even if a rampant taxi hasn't just showered your trousers in street sludge.

If you want you can do your wash by your self and then you pay less. It's your choice.

This is way too expensive. I live in Krakow and let me tell you that when it comes to certain services, Polish people don't have a clue what to charge. For example. I remember it used to cost $15 just to get your shirt dry cleaned. Who in their right mind would pay $15 to dry clean 1 button down shirt ??? The idea of a laundromat should be a no brainer. I actually came up with the idea back in 2002, but there werent that many tourist here then. The want to charge 14zl to wash your clothes. That's $7 a load. And furthermore they wash it foryou . I don't know about you, but I certainly don't want anyone poking around in my underwear!!! At 35 ,I think I know how to do my own laundry. Then they wonder why businesses like this dont work in Poland . It's because they dont know how to run them. A coin operated Laundry is the easiest business in the world.I know plenty of people who got rich by owning laundromats in college neighborhoods. Not here... They just want to get you at both ends . First they want to charge$7/load which is robbery and then they want to overcharge you for coffee and juice.
