Similar to a cosmopolitan Dublin Bar, the Irish-owned Nic Nowego continues to serve as the expat community's primary source of hangovers. Black-clad candidates for Miss Polska serve up a wicked array of drinks from behind a sleek metallic bar, including the best Guinness in Poland, while the big projector - yes, this is the place to go on match days - keeps a largely foreign audience captivated. The food also goes beyond the quality you’d expect to find in a bar thanks to the owner Tom being a chef by trade. Handy serving hours mean food is available as long as they are open, something which has saved our bacon once or twice.
