If you inferred something colourful and retro from the name, well, you're sadly mistaken. Old-school only in returning Kraków to its smoky cellar bar roots, and colourfully pixelated only in the lasers darting across the dance-floor, Pixel Club is otherwise a discreetly hidden, dingy dive bar with black walls, no decor and little decorum. Collecting a crowd you might recognise from Caryca (RIP) or Fabryka, the music is more boundary-pushing and challenging than you'll find elsewhere and the vibe more laid-back. That a black, smoky dive bar with a dance-floor is as alternative as Kraków club openings come these days is a bit damning, but at least it's not a damn 'fashion club'. We'll drink to that (and save a few złoty by doing so).
