Find one of Kraków’s most legendary jazz clubs at the bottom of a flight of stairs in a 14th-century cellar just seconds away from St. Mary’s Cathedral. Unchanged in years, though the names on stage may have fallen off the cutting edge and it's now mostly clogged with tourists, U Muniaka is still a no bullshit jazz venue: pay the no bullshit waitress (10-20zł depending on the night), take a seat and hear some no bullshit jazz music. The acoustics are great, the atmosphere intimate and attentive, and don't be surprised by unannounced appearances by legends like Nigel Kennedy or Jarek Śmietana. Enthusiasts shouldn't be disappointed. Concerts nightly from 21:30.

Very nice and typical bar of the center of Krakow it is situated in the underground and it is quite small but in a nice style. the entrance is 20zl and quite often it is the owner who plays the tables are right in front of the musicians and you can feel you are on the stage.
This venue is one for anybody genuinely interested in jazz. As a seasoned and fussy jazz tourist I rate it right up there with Small's! Consistently world class standard of musicians (who seem to be open to sharing their instruments with audience members every now and again; jamming from around a table in some murky alcove between sets....)
