This time we were happy to eat our own words for dinner. On a return trip to Manzana, there was narry a nit to pick: the food was excellent and we can heartily recommend the salmon, which not only looked, but tasted exquisite. Manzana's 'New Latin' concept consists of meat and fish dishes alongside reinvented classics (the massive burritos can be prepared a number of ways) served in a chic interior of dark, glossy colours, an open kitchen and low-level Latin music. Though the prices aim a bit high, the service and atmosphere are comfortably relaxed, making Manzana the kind of place you'd want to frequent often.

Delicious food in smart surroundings. Friendly staff and generous portions.
Sorry, honey, but a 'jug of tap water' just doesn't exist here in PL. I think you and your friends will have to take cultural customs more into account next time you go out to eat. It's true, Poland isn't exactly known for its stellar service industry, and therefore your American everything-I-want-the-way-i-want-it attitude isn't going to garner many smiles. I'd recommend any of the self-service restaurants all over the city for you in order to spare you your own frustration and spare our underpaid waitstaff from the customer from hell. By the way, I was in Manzana a couple weeks ago, and while everything wasn't perfect, I didn't expect it to be and left with the impression of what a pleasant evening I'd had. The highlight was my food which was excellent.
just one comment to Celeste - there is no such thing like "tap water" in Polish restaurants - unless you want to run the risk of some serious stomach problems :O) so you may say the weitress acctually saved your a(ss) by serving you still water :P no offence, but sometimes it's worth to check these things before you go visiting... anyway I'm going there on Saturday..hope I won't find any neils...
A group of six of us were really looking forward to our 'Mexican ' night there, but we came away quite disappointed. We were there on October 5th last.Firstly we ordered a plate of tortillas just to have before our starters as we were quite hungry and mentioned this to the waitress thinking we would get the tortillas straight off.but no , the order had to be updated in the super duper computer before it was even given to the chefs there had run out of guacamole at 8 o'clock at night with all of 4 tables, occupied.Three of our main courses were wrong. When we had ordered a jug of tap water with our wine the waitress insisted on asking us twice if we wanted it still or sparkling ( and yes we were charged 11 zolty for it!)and was dismissive of us,we ordered more margaritas I found a piece of someone's nail in mine. After making some they told us their ice crusher was broken(?) and then continued to charged us for all those ordered.I have to admit , that even though it took 4 teenage chefs to make our food it was good, but the whole establishment is in need of a good management shake up if it is to survive. As you can imagine I would NOT recommend this to anyone. Now if you want a nice place with excellent service try Szara.
