A beautiful venue close to the Main Market Square (Rynek), Czary is set over two levels, with a ground level Art Nouveau room and a magnificent gothic cellar, which makes for a beautiful and atmospheric setting to enjoy their well presented and priced menu of Polish and international dishes. Of particular note are the tasty ‘kettle’ dishes - a choice of goulash, fish with vegetable ragu, or beef in red wine, which come served in metal pots.

  I ate here for my final meal in Krakow and loved it. It was probably the best food I had eaten all week. You must try the herring starter as it is fantastic and for the main I had Golabki with mushroom sauce which I could quite happily eat everyday for the rest of my life.
