Established as the city's first 'Actor's Club', this was once the place to find local actors, singers and sportsmen enjoying the high life. These days the clientele consists mostly of elegantly dressed, overly made-up aging beauties sipping cocktails in the modernised interior of beige leather sofas and Frank Lloyd Wright ceiling lights, while tourists try the patience of the perfectly proportioned waitresses in 1920s flapper dresses on the seasonal market square patio. Seemingly un-Krakowian in comparison to its neighbours, the prevailing snootiness is anything but, as a pricey selection of café classics - sandwiches, pasta and ice cream desserts - are served at a snail's pace. Perfect if you've just died your hair bright red for your 50th birthday.
