A former haunt of Quo Vardis author Henryk Sienkiewicz, the Grand Hotel's continues its elitist theme with a regular weekly meeting of the city's professors. More down-to-earth guests are also welcome inside the sumptuous setting, and should they venture in they may like to try the house special rose ice-cream and cake. A good option for a bit of peace and quiet away from the babbling hordes outside.
