Many places in Krakow claim to be 'far from the maddening crowd'; this one is the real deal. On the northern edge of the Planty just seconds from the train station and a quickstep from the Rynek it barely seems feasible, yet it's true. Sup a coffee or two on the glorious terrace here, surrounded by leafy trees and chirping sparrows and muse on how peaceful the city is, before heading off into the madness once more. A gem.
