Now that Italian restaurants are a dime a dozen in Kraków, this veteran trattoria can stake a claim at being one of the first and best. Unassuming and understated in its presentation and decór, de Cesare nonetheless wins big with a comfortable dining atmosphere, absolutely lovely service and knock-out food all prepared from scratch on the premises (which means you may have to be patient in ordering some dishes) by a very capable Italian-helmed staff. Fair prices in fine surroundings make this the perfect setting for a quiet, casual date.
