Gallons of purple and futuristic glass booths upstairs make Opera a refreshing alternative to the tried and stale decor formulas. The staff is tremendously friendly to the point that they’ll give you directions to another bar even if you don’t buy a drink. Now that’s service. The music is cool and laid-back, complementing the sophisticated back room and its rather astonishing chandelier, not to mention the impressive array of cocktails dubbed the “Opera Show”. Their menu is trendy both in price and diversity, with Italian dishes best represented, although the detour to the Opera Show may well change your original dinner plans.
