Kefirek is your saviour when you want to pack a picnic for the river, buy smokes or restock the beer fridge at 2:00 in the morning, or pick up essential groceries on the way home. Not a large store, but it includes all the essentials, including a deli, produce and booze. And you can get away with stuff you'd get the stink-eye for, or worse, at any other shop in PL, like paying in Euros or buying chewing gum with your card. Also at ul. Szpitalna 38 (D-2), ul.   Good little local supermarket/grocery shops. Lots of variety, good delicatessen counters. And there are lots of them in central Krakow. There 22 according to the well organized but Polish only web site. Look for the link that says "Mapa Lokalizacji" for an interactive map.
