Unlike beer, wine can be an intimidating drink; there’s the swirling, the elaborate pouring, the use of the word “mouthfeel”. Luckily none of that perceived pretension exists at Klub Wino, a new store and wine bar that makes the beverage accessible to all. Much of that spirit is due to the jovial owner, who is fortunately liberal with his opinions – we enjoyed hearing his take on the state of Polish wines – and happy to make recommendations. The wine bar space is minimalist, with just bare white walls and wood tables to keep the focus on the beverage - - a club without being a clubhouse.
