This place feels like a museum piece, with the primary exhibit being the regulars – grizzled patrons who arrive to cough and splutter over their lunch time vodka; cocktails and dance sounds? Forget it, Anna is a bare bones local haunt filled with 70s leftovers and concrete flooring. That’s not to say we don’t love it; this place is a commie throwback inside a city of conflicting currents – come here to see how things were done in the old days, just don’t expect anything flash.

Poor review. "Grizzled patrons who arrive to cough and splutter over their lunch time vodka." I think the reviewer has been watching too many David Lynch films. A real mix of people here from students and youngsters to the odd grizzled patron (the reviewer?). As for going back to the way things were in communist times well for one thing there is always a plentiful selection of good and cheap beers and drinks here (try the Ciechan Miodowe for something different. Honey beer to you and me) to choose from which is nothing like old times. The only word you needed then was piwo because if they actually had any you almost certainly wouldn't have had a choice of which type.
