We’ve long known that In Your Pocket readers are the smartest people in the world, and this was once again confirmed when a reader tipped us off to Fermentacja’s “eye-watering” selection of beers. This comfortable basement pub is the mothership for diehard beer drinkers - they even use backlit bottles for decoration - and the simple brick walls and cushy booths encourage long nights of lounging over the varied bottles on offer. If you’re after sampling small Polish breweries like Fortuna, Jurand and Koźlak this is your place; and if that’s not enough to entice you, Fermentacja often offers discounts on a class of beer (all wheats, or all unpasteurized beer) at random. Highly recommended.

  A great spot if you aren't into the louder club scene. Plenty of beer to choose from and an environment that lets you have a conversation without the thumping music and crowds of teens.
