Irish Pub should, in fact, be called Naval Pub. There is Guinness, but there the associations with the Emerald Isle end. Leprechauns and shamrocks have been waylaid for a Captain Cook design that numbers netting and compasses. It’s all very ‘land ahoy’ here, with a pleasingly dark interior that brings to mind a seafaring galleon, as well as a seasonal outdoor patio that could have been swiped from Treasure Island – all barrels and birdcages interspersed with flourishes of greenery.

If being away from the Emerald Isle is starting to tug at your heart strings this is not the place to go. It reminds me of what Disney might do to create an "authentic" English pub "experience". As soulless as any of the many chains frequenting a British High Street. Plenty of really excellent bars to be had in Lodz. Your time and money are better spent elsewhere.
Ever imagined what an Irish pub looks like in the USA? Here it is. Overpriced and not in the least authentic. Food is not bad though.
The most expensive bar in Poland to date, food and drink, with Zywiec weighing in at 9 pln. Not a fortune admitted but a rip off none the less for a less than special "Irish" bar.
