An industrial metal staircase leads the way to Jazzga, a tremendous space whose many quirks include a mural combining a series of smaller images into one large one by Gregor Gonsior. Attracting students and non-conformists this veteran comes with a wall of back-lit, glowy bottles, and a blue look that feels suitably hip. Though the name suggests otherwise jazz doesn’t really get a look in here, with the abstract music policy preferring unearthed Kraftwerk tracks and rare find local bands. One of our favourite spots, a view shared by numerous others. Closed on Sundays unless a special event is scheduled (think film screenings and concerts). Note that this club is closing for good on May 16.
