Peron 6 looks and smells like a dungeon, so surprise, surprise when you learn this is a real candidate for Poland’s best pub. Why? Well, certainly not for the design – bare benches and a collection of beer mats. No, the real bonus here is the lager, namely the most exhaustive selection we’ve yet to discover. There’s well over a hundred here, and these include rare brews from China and some Argie oddities. But pride of place goes to the Belgians, who are well represented with a changing cast of options. Accessed by a long narrow stairwell this scabby looking underground haunt is a must visit, even more so if drinking plays a feature in your hols. Switch the phone off (it won’t work down here anyway), and step into your best boozing clogs; Peron 6 is little less than a Pharaoh’s tomb of exotic alcohols.

Is this guide written by a beer Rambo? I enjoyed a nice drink here. Love the variety, didn't get plastered but that as is anywhere, is always an option. Particularly in Poland. Although whisper it softly but people have been known to get seriously drunk in the UK too. My preference, boring fart that I am, is variety (including seedy) and choice rather than being plumbed into to the first source of alcohol that I find. This place is worth a visit and you can pay a quick visit to the fountain of love on Plac Wolnosci at the same time.
