Here are a few suggestions depending on what you are looking for:
Splurge – We’re fans of the Grand Hotel’s Malinowa restaurant because the experience here is unmatched and it’s just the place to secure that important deal.
Exotic – Try Delight in the Andels for racy fusion cuisine the like of which hasn’t been seen in Lodz before. If Thai is your fancy then Hot Spoon while spice up your palate, while House of Sushi is highly recommended for raw fish fans. For Jewish-style food then Anatewka, a legend on the local gastro ladder. For Indian, Ganesh is ace and now has a location at Manufaktura to boot.
Kids – Cowboy-themed Sioux is always a contender, and the menu is simply hilarious. Certainly worth a glance. f you want something fast that won’t add to your guilt take the tots to MG Eat at Manufaktura for salads, smoothies and frozen yogurt.
Couples – We love Ciagoty i Tesknoty, and aside from offering a knock-dead menu the venue itself is a true dating environment. Other places of note include Siesta, which offers set meals for two; upscale Italian at Antica Roma; and Restauracja Lili, which is full of dark corners and flickering candlelight.
Lads – The Dorsz promises a quick and tasty fish and chips meal, while pizza is king at Hollylodz Pizza and Trattoria outside of Manufaktura.
Local – Just check out our Polish section and take your pick, although many are flocking to celebrity chef Magda Gessler’s new Polka restaurant at Manufaktura. Klub Piotrkowska 97 gets a thumbs up for its Polish female chef.
Cheap – Titi has breakfast that easily comes in under 10zl and will hold you all morning. And PierrRogi 69 gets you a plate of doughy for pierogis for cheap.

We knew Piazza Cafe was our kind of place when the barista encouraged us to have a piece of cake for breakfast. Opting instead for self control and a muffin, this newcomer is already popular with Lodzians as one of the few spots on Piotrkowska for a good selection of breakfast options (everything from eggs to doughnuts) and well-priced coffee drinks. I was there yesterday with my partner with the intention of getting a much needed Indian fix. We were there mid afternoon and there was only one other couple so I don't know if its a case of taking their eye off the ball with the opening of their new place at Manufaktura but I was very disappointed....Ganesh

Went there last night (May 18th). At 7pm they had no steaks. Guys a Steakhouse without steaks is not a Steakhouse....Browar De Brasil
We tried it last night... the bean soup and potato salad is delicious but kind of disappointing that the first grilled meat brought to you is a Kashanka Polish sausage which has not meat in it at all....Ciągoty i Tęsknoty
Ignore the comments about the location and the suggestion that its hidden down some dim back street. This restaurant is absolutely superb and though pricey by Lodz standards (a meal for two cost 100 pln) there are cheaper options on the menu but the standards are superb throughout....Ganesh

I f***** licked my fingers clean last night at Ganesh !!!! The Chicken Masala, the Chicken tandoori, the sheek kebab, we were four guys and we all loved it....Ganesh
I enjoyed my first experience in Ganesh last week. A colleauge and myself had an excellent meal, the service was friendly and helpful even although the place was busy (Saturday night)....Anatewka
