Situated right next door to the Ksieży Młyn complex this modern yet humble international restaurant with its crimson and dark wood furnishings offers a satisfying haven from the perils of tourism. The meat-heavy menu is an exciting read, and includes a galaxy of illustrious dishes such as the succulent-sounding Sheibler’s Dumplings. There’s a good wine menu too, and the walls are pleasantly plastered with images of a chimney-choked Łódz during its golden age. Trivia buffs will be delighted to learn that the building was originally the complex’s security building and that Szwajcar was the name of the man who used to keep order around the place.
