Those familiar with the Sarp of old might find the re-modelling something of a shock but maybe it’s a sign of the times (and our increased maturity) that we actually quite like it. Gone are the bright orange decor and plastic seating to be replaced with a modern, much more sedate look fitting with their apparent aim of re-inventing Sarp as a cafe/bistro from its late night bar past. With its ground zero location, the addition of a menu featuring breakfasts served from 10:00 through to decent mains (which they claim to be the latest served on the square) and the more upmarket feel this is now more of a venue to woo your partner than to throw back a load of beer.
