The sassy pink high heel logo in Café Szpilka’s sign should be your first clue: this is a café geared toward ladies, and it’s easy to picture Carrie Bradshaw sipping a latte in their lush rear garden. As the day goes on she might move to the cafe’s airy interior and switch to the Sexy Szpilka cocktail, heavy on Malibu and vodka, and a dinner of meaty zrazy or a light salad. Szpilka’s owner, who promises English menus are coming, is so friendly we want her to adopt us - especially if it means endless amounts of her signature Café Szpilka cake, which combines caramel, whip cream, bananas and a sweetly crunchy crust.
