Bellview

Located where the expat HQ that was Dom Wikingow was once housed. The club/restaurant attempts a look of New York chic with large images of the Brooklyn Bridge and plush black seating to make it look more upmarket and possibly justify the high prices on the menu. In our experience it doesn’t. A chicken club sandwich shouldn’t come in processed toast bread with garnish provided by spraying a ketchup and mayonnaise bottle at the finished article – a sandwich the restaurant claims it took off the menu, but which we just ordered - while the ribs served up were towards the 'well-cooked' end of the scale. The downstairs club seems consistently light on clientele except for the odd hen party performing solo dances to girl-power pop.
