ToGA is devoted to making Polish dishes using organic, seasonal ingredients, which results in an ever-changing menu (maybe that’s why it shows up unceremoniously on a photocopied piece of paper?) with fresh options like beef cheeks in Calvados and pancakes covered in ripe tomatoes. The basement location is surprisingly bright and cosy, though the organic theme is taken a little far when a basic water arrives with what looks like a salad floating in it: berries, sprigs of greens and lemon take up more room than the beverage itself.
