St. Kazimierz Church was constructed by the aforementioned Reformists, a group serious about their monastic way of life. Thus the building itself is a simple affair with a single nave, an upstairs choir area and a vestry behind its altar. Exterior buttresses were added to brace the church against its landslide-prone location atop a hill. A small chapel on the propert is said to mark the exact spot where Christianity was remarkably first taught in Poland. Nowadays St. Kazimierz is owned by the Polish Catholic Church.
