Chronicling the 1918 Wielkopolska Uprising this museum occupies a rebuilt structure that once served as home to the Royal Guard. The exhibition includes a 1908 Maxim heavy machine gun sitting behind a row of sandbags, a copy of the uniform worn by the risings commander-in-chief, as well as original state decorations awarded to him. Other points of interest include a replica banner flown on the night of the Uprising’s outbreak, photos of troop formations and a series of postcards issued to commemorate the event.
