Established in 1963 this is one of the biggest museums of its kind in the country, with a collection that numbers heavy machine guns, tanks, armoured personnel carriers, amphibious landing craft and other scary testaments to military might. Most of the exhibits are of Soviet origin and saw active service in WWII. Foreigners wishing to visit need to fax their details to the museum at +48 61 8575066  at least a month (!) in advance. Open only by prior appointment, so be warned.
