Pension Wanda***

A rambling seaside mansion whose exteriors will impress while the interiors land squarely on sufficient. The staff does their best to keep the dated furnishings from fraying, but you’ll still feel like you’ve come out the other side of a time machine. Wanda is typical of the budget accommodation found in Poland’s resorts, but with so much to do outside there is thankfully no reason to linger longer than your daily rest - - unless you truly like staring at a cheap painting of Bambi hanging on your bedroom wall.

Wanda is a charming, very clean, modern and comfortable hotel with a fabulous location right on the beach, a stunningly-good breakfast and helpful, pleasant staff. My wife and I stayed for 11 nights in Aug 2010 and she liked it even more than I did, and believe me, she's picky! The balcony view of the sea from our room was an added bonus. It costs a lot less than similar establishments in Sopot. Sopot centre is 10 minutes' walk away along the esplanade, along which are dotted no end of cafes, bars and restaurants.
