Trattoria Antica

Trattoria Antica
Coiled close to Pinokio lies Trattoria, a subterranean venue whose identity has changed three times in as many years – don’t be thrown by the cinq pictures on the walls, they’re just a throwback to the previous Gallic occupants. Such schizophrenia surely isn’t encouraging, but the menu is; short and sweet and with no undue complications. Antipasto proves divine, the ragu the best in Sopot, and your night topped classically with either tiramisu or panna cotta.

In a town that seems to praise mediocrity when it comes to fine dining Trattoria is truly a breath of fresh air. To say the meal was truly perfect would be an understatement. Having been all over Poland for over 6 months (living in Warsaw) I can comfortably say this is the best Italian I have found. We started with the antipasto plate and then had the papardelle in truffle sauce and fish with a finely recommended bottle of wine. This meal alone has ensured my perpetual return to Trattoria every time I am in Sopot. You could do worse than to dine here every night I certainly wish we did.

I loved Trattoria Antica! I travel extensively, and this was as fine an Italian meal as I have found anywhere! One must have an Antipasti, the mixed anipasto, Carpaccio and Shrimps with garlic are outstanding! Make sure to have some foccacia bread as well! Delicious! The papardelle in truffle sauce is an absolute must, and the rabbit with tomatoes and herbs accompanied with herbed rice and mozzorella balls are a treat! The best part though is Tomasz the owner, who for many evenings during a long tiring trip treated this traveler like a regular. For those fortunate enough to live here, you should become regulars as well!! Bon appetito!

Really very nice place . Hidden in the corner of Pinokio restaurant open-air garden stairs, leads you down to different world- old cellar with arc, brick ceiling .Great selection of Italian wines fits to menu, which offers choice of antipasti , pastas and main courses like rabbit in tomatoes with herbs, grilled orata fish, osso buco and many more.
