Somewhat overlooked by the historical record, this show aims to right that wrong and detail the life of a sometimes controversial figure. There are over 250 works from Poland and abroad exploring the links between politics and royal patronage. This patronage covered other fields and was a strategic device used by the king at a time when his power was limited by the surrounding events.
