  The source of peoples' admiration for this place is a mystery to me.It looks like a coffee shop with uncomfortable seating and no soft edges to it whatsoever. Never tried the food but the clientele which largely consists of middle aged Brit-pats with all the usual biases put me off the place on the three occasions in the last year I've been here. Genuinely mystifies me why it gets good reviews (not just in comments but in the magazine).Only go here if you're a Brit with a lack of imagination. There are hundreds of better Polish bars with more chracter history and definitely more girls!

  Legends... what can I say.. for me it "hit's the mark". It is split over two levels in an light an airy atmosphere. The food served is well prepared and hot... and last but not least very tasty...just good old fasioned "pub grub" ...Sports fans are very well catered for with 3 screens.. a large one on the lower level and 2 smaller in the bar area...all 3 being independant of each other if needed where the staff are always happy to try and accommodate customer needs. As with anywhere we all have personal preferences.. but until you visit you'll never know.. so pay Legends a visit and I don't think you'll be disappointed... if it's empty still go in.. it may well fill in the next few minutes if there is a sporting event on.. and if not owners Graham and Bea and bar manager Monika and staff will make you welcome.. go on.. give it a try !

  Had their "legendary" breakfast today. The bacon was a slab of boczek (very fatty bacon more like pancetta - inedible) the mushrooms undercooked and the egg-yolks bone hard. The baked beans were ok so well done there otherwise all very unpleasant.

  On a recent visit to Warsaw I popped into Legends specifically to taste their steak and kidney pie - I live in Sopot and this kind of stuff is impossible to come by up here on the coast. Absolutely top notch - simple very tasty and with the accompanying veg cooked to perfection. I returned later for the sticky toffee pudding which was also good but probably too ornate (fruit mint leaves 'n stuff) and generally giving the impression that it was trying to be above its station in life. After the S&K experience though I would like to see what they could do with a simple treacle pud and ice-cream.

  Been in Warsaw over a year and visited many bars and restaraunts but have to say that Legends is one of the friendliest places in town. Graham and Beata make you feel very welcome. The food is great (massively improved recently) and the beer good (both British and Polish). Just tell Graham what you want to watch and he will put it on (footie rugby cricket etc). The quiz night once a month is a good touch (the locals don't quite get it but the Brits do!).

  Not such a bad place, but not brilliant either (I'm sorry to say...), good beer and a nice deco (good to see a separate somking room though). and friendly staff.I had Fish & Chips and my mate had the Full English. Mine wasn't too bad, a nice size, but the fish was a bit watery, chips underdone and the pea's ok. I would have prefered to have tomato sauce in a bottle rather than on an adjoining plate as well.The Full English looked ok but why have 5 pieces of chunky bacon and only one sausage? why was the fried egg runny? and why no black pudding, hash brown and fried slice?Alas, the devil is in the detail, try ironing out these quibbles and minor things and you should have a good restaurant.

  Legends only opened in September 2010 and it is becoming a popular expat hangout. Good British food, British beer/cider, friendly, welcoming, Sky TV, smoking room and dartboard. The British owner is open to recommendations and suggestions. Legends, keep up the good work and well done so far. Alan & Jed (same person!) comments DO NOT reflect this establishment at all. May be Alan & Jed (same person!) should get a life!

  I couldn't disagree more with Alan and Jed (same person perhaps?). I've eaten at Legends a few times and I can certainly recommend the steak and kindney pie & fish and chips (real potatoes) amongst other dishes. In fact, of all the expat pubs that I've been to in Warsaw, Legends serve the best food IMO.

  OK. not sure where you guys have been, but certainly not the same place that I have just enjoyed Christmas Dinner and a few beers. The landlord is incredibly hospitable as are the staff, please do not listen to the above.. a great, friendly place in Warsaw

  Went to Legends the other night. Place was full. Only been open a few months but the locals around the bar were really friendly. My girlfriend had the fish and chips and I tried the steak and kidney pie. Both were great and we will certainly make it one of our regular haunts.

  steak and kidney pie had lots of kidney, no steak. mixed grill tasted like a pile of grit. I love Sunday roast but i would be too scared to try it here. not a good experience.

  you guys havent eaten here, all foreigners reckon the food is shit. as for the sports, theyve only got one dish so if its a clash of games your hope rests on the landlord.
