Things get seriously steamy in Bombaj, a six table venue frequently fogged with clouds of eye stinging spices. It’s small, cheap and cheerful, with an outstanding chicken tikka masala as well as excellent curried prawns arriving courtesy of pretty Poles in ceremonial dress. Misses include the tomato soup, recipient of a unanimous thumbs down from our jury, as well as the butter chicken – decent enough, but seriously lacking in oomph. Nevertheless, it looks like a strong start from one of Warsaw’s newest Indian arrivals.
