U Kucharzy
Cooking becomes theatre inside U Kucharzy, a restaurant where chefs toil next to diners inside what once served as the kitchen of the Europejski Hotel. Black and white tiles, hams hanging from ceilings and florid-faced chefs cursing over the din; eating here is like being on the set of Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmares. The food is no nightmare, however, rather a collection of top priced game dishes and other posh alternatives.(39-72zł)

Best place in Warsaw! Relaxed, simple and quite natural gastronomy. You will come back again and again!
This place is by far the best genuine Polish cuisine restaurant you will find in Warsaw. With plenty of fine restaurants of international cuisine, Warsaw, and Poland, restaurative scenario, when it comes to Polish cuisine, is dominated by very formal, and slow service, "elegant" restaurants presenting some variations of old Polish cuisine that are ultimately just bad taste, grown in a country deprived of its elites and references in the recent past (where in the world will you find rice with strawberries and cream ??). Magda Gessler imperium is by far the greatest icon of such bad taste, but that's another story. Within the same wellknown family of restaurators, this other Guessler's U Kucharzy presents food that is amazingly simple and fabulous, specially the game, keeping in mind you're in Central Europe and the food here is somehow heavy and greasy. The wonderfull retro setting with all the theatre the Chefs put in place also contributes for a special atmosphere. Don't miss the steak tartare, there are not that many places where you will actually see what is it made of.
