This place promises to be one of the city's biggest and best museums when it opens sometime in 2013. Currently being built at vast expense in what was the Jewish Ghetto during World War II, the museum will tell the story of Jews in Poland, and will also serve as a centre for geneology, making the tracing of relatives easier than ever before. For more information pre-opening, the temporary visitor's centre on ul. Warecka 4/6 is most helpful.

Unfortunately this museum - - which was once scheduled to open at the end of 2011 - - isn't expected to open until 2013. A long wait, but we have high expectations!
Has this museum opened? This is Dec 2011.Thank you
