Could Włodkowica become Wrocław’s answer toKraków’s Kazimierz district? Why not. Its got the Jewish history, its got the trendy eatery, and in the shape of Mleczarnia and Sarah its got the flea-bitten bar culture so loved by brooding artists and student activists. This venue puts the emphasis on the area's Jewishness more than any other, but it's still all slacker patrons, slow tunes, battered typewriters and black and white pics hung at odd angles - exactly what Kraków's Kazimierz district was famous for before the stag invasion. With a menu of cheap Jewish food, and Bloody Marys priced at 10zł there’s not one reason to give this place a miss.
