Magnolia video killed the Old Town radio star? Not quite. There is still plenty of city centre shopping to had in Wrocław, with pedestrian Rynek, Świdnicka and Oławska offering bags of retail opportunities. Odrzańska, Kiełbaśnicza and Mikołaja are home to upmarket boutiques and galleries, while souvenir hunters will find plenty in the small stores hidden away along the streets underneath the Town Hall. For the big name shopping experience however, you will indeed need to decamp to one of Wrocław’s big new shopping centres. The closest to the city centre is Arkady Wrocławskie, next to the station and boasting a wonderful bookshop on the ground floor, amongst its many other delights. Magnolia Park is bigger, with more than 200 stores, though it is a taxi ride from the centre of town. If you have the time, visit both.
