Pack them in like sardines, fill their ears with folk music and their bellies with pork and beer and watch them go. A large and raucous local favourite, if you've walked up this street with your eyes open you've seen it all before. Mediocre, yet somehow possessing a magnetic charm, head here if you're looking to eat for the sole purpose of lining your stomach before drinking yourself totally silly.

We just spent a great week in snowy Zakopane with the kids and kept coming back here each day after skiing. The food is very good and well-priced and the atmosphere excellent particularly in the evenings when the mountain band starts playing. Can honestly say that I have never eaten better golonka (pig's thigh) anywhere in Poland plus they charge you 23zl per portion and don't con you by pricing it by weight as most places do. The mountain cottage theme has been flogged to death in Poland but most owners elsewhere should come here to see how a proper one is run and how the food should be cooked. Thoroughly recommended for food, service, atmosphere and location (right in the middle of Kropowki)
