Hotel next to Brasov’s aquapark – owned by the same people - which looks pretty standard from
outside but which offers perhaps the biggest rooms in the city. They really are enormous, well big enough for a family of four. Breakfast is excellent, a big buffet affair with plenty to choose from, and children are made to feel very welcome. There’s even a computer with free internet in the lobby. [...]

A central hotel that offers terrific value rooms just a short walk from the Old Town. The basic doubles are big - if modestly furnished - and all have air conditioning, very good showers and televisions. The hotel offers a small swimming pool and good fitness centre, though they cost extra. Breakfast is included, however, and the restaurant serves brilliant ciorbe. All in all, a winner.

It's got a good view alright, above the city, and plenty more besides. One of very few hotels in the area with a swimming pool (outdoor) and usn terrace, the Belvedere offers three and four star rooms. Brilliant little place offering big, simple rooms in a location city centre location just south of the
Post Office. The bathrooms are a bit basic, and rooms can be noisy if you leave the windows open – the street this pace is on is busy – but there’s a nice courtyard, a kitchen you can use, a good breakfast and the price is cheap. It’s good value, basically.

On the road up to Poiana is this wonderful boutique hotel, offering nine individually furnished rooms all with bags of character and boasting more little luxuries than you can count. The Hirscher is located close to Piaţa Sfatului offers big, immaculate and classically furnished apartments with comfy sofas and great bathrooms and staff. The lovely interior atrium is worth the entrance fee on its own, as it were. [...]
